Kraks Fond Prize for Best Student Paper at the European Meeting of the UEA
Kraks Fond – Institute for Urban Economic Research and the board of UEA are delighted to present a prize for best student paper at the European Meeting.
A shortlist of student papers will be presented in special prize sessions at the European Meeting of the Urban Economics Association. The award winner is chosen by a panel set by the UEA with consultation of the Kraks Fond and the prize is awarded at the UEA reception.
A paper is eligible only if all (co-)authors are full-time PhD students at the date of the conference.
- 2019 (Amsterdam): Marta Santamaria (Universitat Pompeu Fabra Barcelona) “The Gains from Reshaping Infrastructure: Evidence from the Division of Germany”
- 2018 (Düsseldorf)): Jan David Bakker (University of Oxford and CEP) “International Trade and Regional Inequality” and Jacob Krimmel (University of Pennsylvania – Wharton) “Persistence of Prejudice: Estimating the Long Term Effects of Redlining”
- 2017 (Copenhagen): Andrii Parkhomenko (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Barcelona GSE), “The Rise of Housing Supply Regulation in the U.S.: Local Causes and Aggregate Implications”
