Summary of the 4th Kraks Fond Workshop on Urban Economics

On January 25, The Kraks Fond – Institute for Urban Economic Research held a one-day workshop on urban economics in Copenhagen, Denmark. The focus was on quantitative methods and analysis of agglomeration and cities. The workshop brought together academics from leading worldwide universities and provided an opportunity to gain insight into and exchange ideas on the cutting-edge research on various aspects of urban economics.

The workshop took place at Fæstningens Materialgård (the Fortification Depot) with the following keynote speakers:

  • Frank Neffke (Harvard University), and
  • Bruno De Borger (University of Antwerp).

Furthermore, the workshop included four paper presentations by:

  • Wenting Yu (Carnegie Mellon University),
  • Anja Grujovic (CEMFI),
  • Mads Christian Hejlesen (Aarhus University),
  • Luis E. Quintero (Johns Hopkins University), and
  • Csaba Gabor Pogonyi (Imperial College London).
